This page is a collection of houserules, modifications, etc, for Iron Heroes. More up to date will be my Joa-Saerano setting wiki, but here's copies of ideas and such for others to use here.

AlternateClassBuilds

Some optional Class Builds. No major changes, just minor tweaks.

 

ReplacementFeats

So, yeah... not all the Feats work good. This section is empty now, but I'll be adding some new feats soon. Starting with Cleave 10...

 

SimpleStunts

Stunting is a great idea. But it involves extra math as you have to figure out how high of a bonus you're going for, making another roll, then doing whatever it was you were doing in the first place. Simple Stunts remove the extra roll from the whole equation.

 

HighPoweredTraits

Don't like how Mighty Build overshadows all the other Traits? I decided to replace all the Traits with more powerful options that make Mighty Build a good choice, just no longer the best one. People who cry when players get "more power" should avoid this entirely.

 

ClassModifications

Mostly minor tweaks. I pump up the Armiger, add Excellent Defense Progression to a couple of classes, and tone down a class or two by delaying some abilities by a level or so.

 

CultureSpecificBonuses

A system for giving bonuses based on character's culture and homelands without eating up their Traits. I feel Traits ought to be unique bits about heroes, while cultural stuff ought to be really minor in the overall effectiveness of the character.

 

MinionFeats

A half-baked idea for giving minions gestalt pools and special abilities. This was created before I saw Mastering Iron Heroes, and therefore is not really accurate. Still, some good ideas to steal until I update this.

 

AttacksofOpportunity FAQ

Just what it says. An FAQ to make that whole 1/4th movement thing as easy as pie.
